Macintosh compatible data logger

Macintosh software for XR5 Data Loggers

LogXR Mac

A free Macintosh version of LogXR Software for the XR5 Data Logger is in development.  LogXR for the Mac will run only on Mac OS X computers (Jaguar 10.2 and higher).  Please contact Pace for the estimated release date.

ZTerm

A shareware terminal emulation / communications program for the Macintosh.  Use ZTerm to set up an XR5 logging session, transfer logged data, and display sensor data in real time.

Please note: Once an XR5 has been set up using LogXR Software, sensor data can be displayed in real time on a Mac using a terminal emulation program like ZTerm.  After selecting the XR5's real time mode, sensor readings in the form of readable character strings are transmitted every 2 seconds from the XR5.  In contrast, stored data files transferred to a Mac using ZTerm are binary files.  These files can be converted to a readable format using LogXR Software's menu selection Utilities | Convert Binary File.

Go to http://homepage.mac.com/dalverson/zterm/ to download ZTerm.  Versions of ZTerm are available for Mac OS 9 and earlier, Max OS 8/9 Power PC, and Mac OS X
